Ardconnel is a modern spacious family run Bed and Breakfast situated 1 mile to the east of Kirkwall surrounded by open countryside with superb views over the Kirkwall harbour and over Kirkwall Bay. Only a 20 minute walk or a couple of minutes drive along a coastal road from the harbour. We are only 5 minutes drive from Kirkwall Ferry Terminal, where ferries from Aberdeen and Lerwick disembark. We are only 25 minutes from both the St Margaret’s Hope and Stromness Ferry terminals for those travelling from either Gills Bay or Scrabster. Kirkwall Airport is approximately a 10 minute drive away.
There is a local bus service, which runs past Ardconnel every hour into Kirkwall town centre or Kirkwall Bus Station where there are connecting services to tourist attractions such as SkaraBrae, The Italian Chapel and other historic landmarks.
